Old Bridge Township Emergency Medical Services posted on Facebook about their cameo on the TBS show that will air on Thursday, Sept. 26.
"Any "Impractical Jokers" fans out there in our community, be sure to check out tonight's midseason finale," the emergency provider wrote. "Your Old Bridge EMS is featured and playing a huge role in helping pull a prank on one of the guys!"
The paramedics shared a screenshot from the Instagram account of James Murray, a comedian known as one of the Jokers. The Staten Island native is joined by two other New Yorkers on the hidden camera comedy crew: Brian Quinn and Sal Vulcano.
Murray posted a video that included a couple of clips featuring an Old Bridge ambulance.
"The biggest double cross in Impractical Jokers history!" Murray said. "Do not miss this Thursday's midseason finale on TBS, to see a punishment 5 YEARS in the making!"
The Instagram video shows Murray on the hood and windshield of a yellow car driving on a dirt road. Murray falls off the car before the video cuts to the Old Bridge ambulance arriving and paramedics treating him.
Quinn and Vulcano were seen laughing at the beginning of the video but appeared distraught for Murray by the end of the teaser.
"Don't miss the punishment that nearly broke the Jokers," the video's voiceover said.
The show's official account also shared another Instagram teaser of additional audio from the "punishment." The other Jokers sounded fearful after Murray fell off the car and they called for the ambulance.
The Impractical Jokers aren't strangers to the Garden State.
A 2015 episode of the show featured a "double punishment" during a New Jersey Devils game, according to IMDb. Several episodes have also shown the Jokers teasing unsuspecting shoppers at The Mills at Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth.
The episode with the Old Bridge paramedics will debut on TBS at 10 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25.
